Greeting Comrades!

I am writing this as I would like to start a monthly letter out all members of the 7th District.

First of all I would to thank everyone for all your hard work that you did this last year. Your efforts didn’t go unnoticed for the 7th District is an All-American District and Mike Curl is All-American District Commander for the 2015-2016 year. A job well done!

Although the year has just started I have hit the road running. I have attended 5 Post meetings just in the last 2 weeks and saw a great fireworks display in Crane on July 1st. It has been a privilege meeting our fellow Comrades and thanking them for the great year we had and preparing them for a great year ahead. Don’t worry; I have a plan to visit the remaining 15 Post all before the 1st of November. This may sound like a long time away, but many of our Post have their meetings on the same evening.

My next adventure is taking me to New Orleans for the National Convention July 22-26. After that I will be spending the rest of the week in Pensacola with my family before I return and hit the road again.

The State Golf Scramble is being hosted by Post 1108 Richmond and the deadline to getting your entry submitted is closing quickly. I will be there to represent the 7th, however my game may be terrible but I guarantee you that I will have a great time!

I strongly encourage all officers, especially Commanders, Quartermasters, Trustees and House Committee members to attend the School of Instruction in Indianapolis on August 12th, 2017. There will be a lot of information given out in a short time. If you need any assistance, please let me know for myself and the great leadership in the 7th is willing to help you out.

18-20 August is the District Campout at Lake Melissa. I will be sending a flyer out very shortly with addition information. If you interested in camping with us let me know for there are a limited amount of camping spots available.

Sign up now for the 7th District bus trip to the National Home for Children in September. The seats will fill up fast! This is a trip that you will not forget.
